Fractures take longer than a week to fully heal. The external damage may heal sooner, but keep the effected part splinted (if possible) stay on top of the pain, rest/sleep as much as you can, and just hang in there. Wounds are for real, and have a realistic heal time. Scratches that cause bleeding IRL don't take a couple hours to heal. They take days. In all acctually you'd need to lay back and try not to puncture an organ. But that isn't feasible for zombie games. So medicate b. Wrapping a broken rib irl does not help you heal faster and can in fact make things worse & more painful, I'd imagine like in most things the game tries to be as realistic as possible.I'm poulticed and bandaged up, and it's been like two weeks. To heal a fracture in Project Zomboid, you need to craft a splint. You can do this in the crafting menu. To make a splint, you need to combine a ripped sheet with either a tree branch, sturdy stick, or wooden plank. Slow/Fast healer affect the rate that wounds heal, with a relatively greater effect on more minor wounds.Lacerations last 3 to 4. Deep wounds can last a few days when stitched and well fed or months when just left to heal naturally and mildly starve at times. Burns are like Deep wounds but no stitching can help it, they just take a long time, weeks to a month. Broken bones, I don't know never survived long with one of those.
